Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 28, 2026  ·  Kurio, Inc.

Privacy is not a feature at Footprint. It is a founding principle.

We built Footprint because we believe the most meaningful parts of a life — the memories, the artifacts, the stories — belong to the people who lived them. That belief shapes every decision we make, including this one.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it for anything other than operating and improving Footprint for you. Full stop.

1. Who we are

Footprint is operated by Kurio, Inc., a company incorporated in the United States. When this policy refers to “Footprint,” “we,” “us,” or “our,” it means Kurio, Inc. You can reach us at hello@footprintapp.co.

2. What data we collect

At this stage, the only personal data we collect through footprintapp.co is your email address, submitted voluntarily when you join our waitlist.

We do not collect:

3. Why we collect it and how we use it

Your email address is collected for one purpose: to notify you when Footprint is ready for you.

We will not use it to send unrelated marketing communications. We will not sell it, rent it, license it, or share it with any third party for any commercial purpose. It is used internally, by the Footprint team, for no purpose other than communicating with you about Footprint.

As the product develops, we may use aggregated, anonymised usage data to understand how people use Footprint and to improve the experience. This data will never be tied to your identity or shared externally.

4. How we store it

Waitlist email addresses are stored in a Google Sheet operated by Kurio, Inc. and subject to Google’s enterprise security practices. Access is restricted to Footprint team members. The data is not shared with any external party.

5. What we will never do

To be explicit:

6. Your rights

All users: You can ask us to delete your email address from our waitlist at any time by emailing hello@footprintapp.co. We will action your request within 30 days.

EU/EEA residents (GDPR): You have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data. You also have the right to data portability and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Our lawful basis for processing your email address is your consent, freely given when you submitted the waitlist form. You may withdraw that consent at any time.

California residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, and to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information.

7. Data retention

We retain your email address on our waitlist until Footprint launches and you have had the opportunity to create an account, or until you request deletion, whichever comes first. We do not hold data longer than necessary.

8. International transfers

Our infrastructure is based in the United States. If you are located in the EU/EEA, your data will be transferred to and processed in the US. By submitting your email address, you acknowledge this transfer. We take reasonable steps to ensure your data is handled in accordance with applicable law.

9. Children

Our website and waitlist are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has submitted their data to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Footprint develops. We will update the effective date above when we do. If changes are material, we will notify waitlist members by email before they take effect.
