Footprint™

It’s about time.

Build a lasting record of your life —
together with the people who shaped it.

Footprint lets you feature loved ones in your footprints — inviting them to view your moment and carry it forward on their own map.

What Footprint is

Autobiographical software for the moments
that shape a life.

The problem

We don’t remember things by their file type. We remember the night, the person, the feeling — and everything that was part of it. A camera roll can’t hold that. Neither can a journal.

The object

A footprint is a unit of meaning — not a file, not a format, not a category. The thing itself, plus everything that made it matter: the artifact, the context, the people, the reflection.

The reason

Most of what we save, we save for a reason we never write down. A footprint is where that reason lives — now, and for whoever comes after us.

How it works

Capture. Connect. Discover.

Three things happen every time we add a footprint. The third is why the path matters.

Capture

Add what matters

Any artifact — voice note, document, clipping, screenshot, story. Add a title, a reflection, a date, a place, the people involved. That is a footprint.

Connect

The picture deepens

Every footprint we add becomes part of something larger. The threads grow stronger, the picture more complete. What begins as a collection becomes a living portrait.

Discover

See what was always there

Themes emerge across years. People appear across contexts we never consciously linked. The pattern was there the whole time. Footprint finds it.

We save everything, yet keep nothing.

Today’s behavior

People save moments in ways that don’t last.

Every footprint finds its connections.

Feature the people who were there

The moments you share
become part of their story.

When you create a footprint, you can feature the people who were part of it — a gift of the moment, sent privately to each of them.

They receive a notification and can view the footprint as you captured it. If it resonates, they can add it to their own map.

No one edits anyone else’s footprint. Each story stays its own. But they grow alongside each other.

Most of what matters gets lost. Not because we stop caring — but because meaning was never given a form it could hold.

A letter without its context is almost nothing. A moment without the people who shared it loses half its weight. The invisible threads connecting the artifacts of a life — the emotional connective tissue — scatter the moment we stop actively holding them.

Footprint was built to hold them.

We are a small team of parents who believe the things we keep are not random — and that understanding what they mean together is one of the most human things we can do. We built Footprint because we needed it ourselves.

It is not about looking backward. It is about seeing our own path clearly while we are still walking it.

Footprint ethos

What we believe.

Our lives are not content.

Real artifacts. Real connections.

Private by design. No ads. No traps.

Built to reveal the connections across a life.
